Vendelbohus is Hjørring's main cultural venue, with a theatre hall dating back to 1907. It replaced the former Hotel du Nord after a fire and took its current name in 1959. Today it is home to Hjørring Teater and Hjørring Revyen, and regularly hosts concerts, stand-up comedy, lectures and private functions. Since June 2019 it has been run as an independent self-owning institution.
