About

EKS-MÆND are a Danish band playing what they call "akusti-punk i fortovshøjde" - a self-invented genre built around double bass and electric mandolin. Their music mixes rough sea shanties and cheeky spoken word with hints of afrobeat and bossa nova, wrapped in bittersweet lyrics about everyday middle-class life in the spirit of Dan Turell.
