Ensemble Stralo
Ensemble Stralo, formed by DR Symphony Orchestra concertmaster Christina Åstrand, presents an unconventional quartet featuring violin, oboe, cello and piano.
Ensemble Stralo is a Danish chamber music ensemble founded in 2016 by four musicians who share both professional roots in Denmark's leading orchestras and close family ties. The quartet brings together violinist Christina Åstrand (concertmaster of the Danish National Symphony Orchestra since 1993), pianist Per Salo, oboist Radi Åstrand Radev and cellist Therese Åstrand Radev (The Royal Danish Orchestra). Their unusual mix of strings, wind and keyboard gives the group a distinctive, flexible sound, and their programmes range from the Renaissance to brand-new world premieres.
Ensemble Stralo performed at Kulturstedet Lindegaarden in Copenhagen with the program '7 Nocturnes and Silbertönen' by Allan Gravgaard Madsen.
