About: Christina Åstrand

Violinist Christina Åstrand has led the Danish National Symphony Orchestra as concertmaster since 1993, while also maintaining an active career as soloist and chamber musician. Her recording of the Ligeti and Per Nørgård violin concertos with the orchestra and Thomas Dausgaard earned the French Diapason d'Or in 2001.
