Fredensborg Brass Ensemble

About

Fredensborg Brass Ensemble is a Danish amateur ensemble founded in 1998, based at Fredensborg Kulturhus in North Zealand. Its 14-17 experienced musicians play exclusively on brass instruments and percussion - cornets, trumpets, flugelhorns, horns, trombones, euphonium and tuba. The ensemble is conducted by Henrik Madsen, a trained trumpeter and ensemble director educated at the Royal Danish Academy of Music, who also works at the Royal Life Guards' Drum Corps. Over the years the group has performed in venues ranging from Helsingør Cathedral to Fredensborg Palace Church, and has toured to the Faroe Islands, Bornholm and Berleburg in Germany.
