Glenn "Doc" Murdock is an American singer from Chicago who co-founded the funk-rock band Mother's Finest in Atlanta in the early 1970s alongside his wife and co-vocalist Joyce "Baby Jean" Kennedy. Classic Rock Magazine described the band's sound as "Sly and the Family Stone meets Led Zeppelin," and three consecutive albums from 1977-79 all went gold in the US. The band is a Georgia Music Hall of Fame inductee and is cited as a formative influence on acts such as Living Colour and Red Hot Chili Peppers.
