Graig Earle is a Canadian double bassist and composer based between Copenhagen and New York. He studied at York University in Toronto under Oscar Peterson and John Gittins, with private bass lessons from Ray Brown, Dave Holland and John Tait, and composition studies with James Tenney, Robert Morris and Anthony Braxton. He has performed and composed for two Danish Music Award-winning albums - with the trio Rosendal.Earle.Templeton (2008) and Simon Toldam's "Prügelknabe" (2007) - and has toured extensively with Marius Neset, Niels Lan Doky, Sinne Eeg and many others across Scandinavia, North America and Asia. He also spent extended periods studying Carnatic music in South India and served as artistic director of the jazz education platform JazzNord from 2012 to 2015.

The Machina Mundi quartet, in which Earle plays bass, released its self-titled debut album on Animal Music.
