HAMRADUN (FO)
Faroese indie-rock band HAMRADUN performs at Templet in Kongens Lyngby with Nordic rock on the bill.
Hamradun are a Faroese folk rock band founded in 2015 by vocalist Pól Arni Holm - formerly the lead singer of metal group Týr - and guitarist Uni Debess. Their music draws on Faroese legends and centuries-old ballads, sung in Faroese and driven by a full rock lineup. Three albums and festival appearances across Europe have built them a following well beyond the North Atlantic.
The magazine Northwords Now published an article about Hamradun's song Hildinakvæði from the album Nætur níggju and the story of the extinct Norn language.
Hamradun is booked for a concert at Templet in Lyngby on Saturday, November 7, 2026.
Hamradun released their third studio album Nætur níggju on May 3, 2024 via Tutl Records - an album with 10 tracks and 50 minutes of playing time.
The album Nætur níggju contains, among other things, the track Hildinakvæði, which is based on the extinct Norn language, which was once spoken in Shetland and the Orkney Islands.
