HOLA GHOST are a Copenhagen band who since 2005 have forged their own dark sound from surf music, Mexican folklore, psychobilly and B-western - a blend they call 'Mexican death-surf' and 'mariachi-punk'. The band was founded by guitarist and vocalist Peter Sandorff (ex-Nekromantix, Mad Sin) and bassist Jeppe B. Jessen while writing the soundtrack to the horror film Cannibal Flesh Riot! for Academy Award-winning director Gris Grimly. On stage they perform with a mariachi horn section, sombreros and día de los muertos face paint, and have played clubs and festivals across Europe, the US and South America.
HOLA GHOST released the compilation album 'Chupacabra, Hate & Fight' via the Finnish label Svart Records on August 23, 2024 - a collection of the two EPs from 2014 and 2018 plus the bonus track 'Iron Reich'.
The band played at Beta in Copenhagen on January 31, 2025.
