About

Ian Paice, born 29 June 1948 in Nottingham, is the only musician to have appeared in every Deep Purple line-up since the band formed in 1968 - present on every album and at every live show. Widely regarded as one of rock's most technically accomplished drummers, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Deep Purple in 2016. Beyond Purple, he has played with Whitesnake (1979-1982) and Gary Moore, and co-founded the cancer-research charity The Sunflower Jam.
