About
Icona Pop are Swedish synthpop duo Caroline Hjelt and Aino Jawo, who met in Stockholm in 2009 and built a career on high-energy dancefloor anthems rooted in electro house and indie pop. Their 2012 single "I Love It" (feat. Charli XCX) peaked at number seven on the Billboard Hot 100 and earned five-times platinum certification in the US, making them a global name overnight. Three studio albums and a string of festival appearances later, they remain one of Sweden's most recognisable pop exports.
