Jacob Trautner is a Danish pianist and composer from Skanderborg who graduated from the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus in 1998. After years of touring professionally with bands, soloists, symphony orchestras and choirs, he turned to writing intimate solo piano music under his own name. His two albums, "Melancholy" (2019) and "Short Stories" (2021), sit in a lyrical, neoclassical space drawing on influences from Jan Johansson to the ECM sound.
Jacob Trautner participated in the single 'Spor Af Dit Smil' with Cathrine Klit and Morten Klit, released in 2024.
Trautner released the single 'The Maze' on June 30, 2023 - a harmonically more challenging piece than his previous works.
The single 'I'm Leaving Today' was released in May 2023 as part of a series of new single releases.
