Jacob Venndts Fabulous Swing Trio is an East Jutland jazz trio featuring Jacob Venndt on double bass, vocals and chromatic harmonica, Pojken Flensborg on piano and Per Kolling on drums. Venndt graduated from the soloist programme at the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus in 2006 and has since worked as a freelance musician across Denmark and internationally, including Sweden, Norway, Germany and New Zealand. The trio grew out of The Dixieland Gipsy Band, which Venndt fronted from 2006 to 2015, and draws its repertoire from the golden age of jazz - Danish classics alongside American standards. In 2025 the trio marked its tenth anniversary with the album "10 Gamle Danske", released on both CD and vinyl.
The trio gave a concert and record release party at the Opera Randers on November 4, 2025 on the occasion of the release of the anniversary album "10 Gamle Danske" on CD and vinyl.
In connection with the 10-year anniversary, the trio released the album "10 Gamle Danske" with their interpretations of classic Danish songs.
The trio performed at a lunch jazz arrangement at Jammerbugt Kultur og Erhvervscenter in Aabybro on February 2, 2025.
