Jesper Thorn (born 1981) is a Danish double bassist and composer, trained at the Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen. He releases his own albums on April Records and won the Danish Music Award Jazz 2021 as Composer of the Year for the album 'Boy'. His music is rooted in Nordic jazz with a lyrical, personal voice, and he also works as a sideman with artists including Palle Mikkelborg and Jacob Christoffersen.
