Jim & De lysende såle are a Copenhagen rock band who coined their own genre - lyrock - blending frontman and poet-philosopher Jim Nydam Bjerregaard's spoken word and poetry with raw rock energy. The four-piece won the VM i Rock competition in 2023, where judge Tomas Ortved of Sort Sol declared a new genre had been born that night. Their debut album Mennesket was released on 27 June 2025 and has since received attention in Danish TV and radio.
