Johann Gustav is a Danish pianist and composer based in Copenhagen, holding a master's degree in rhythmic piano and composition from the conservatory. He released his debut jazz album to critical acclaim at 18 and has since built a career spanning jazz and revue music. His trio - piano, double bass and drums - performs his own compositions alongside American jazz standards, moving between swinging bluesy jazz and Nordic lyrical melodies. He has received the awards Årets Revykomponist 2023, Årets Revy 2025 and the Jacob Lefèvre Honorary Grant 2025.
