Johs Thorst is an Aarhus-based author and poet who publishes with Forlaget Mælkebøtten. He debuted in 2021 with the collection "Vejen til Ø", tracing personal upheavals from full-time activist to civil servant to retiree, and has since published "Højt til Himlen" (2022) and "Stedsans - stemmer fra Ø" (2024). He reads regularly along the quays and basins of the Aarhus Ø harbour district and is active in the steering committee of the Danish Authors' Society's Aarhus chapter.
Johs Thorst published the poetry collection "Stedsans - stemmer fra Ø" at Forlaget Mælkebøtten in June 2024, with poems about Aarhus Ø as Denmark's largest container port and changing neighborhood.
Thorst contributed to the anthology "HVOR KOM VI FRA" (2024), a special edition from the magazine uDkAnt with 45 Aarhus authors and eight visual artists.
Thorst read at LiteratureXchange 2024 on June 23 at Teatret Gruppe 38 in Aarhus Ø, an event supported by the Danish Arts Foundation.
