About

Jon Gomm (born 1977 in Blackpool, England) is a British singer-songwriter and acoustic guitarist based in Yorkshire. He is internationally recognised for a percussive fingerstyle technique that combines slapping, tapping and mid-song retuning, making a single acoustic guitar sound like bass, drums and melody at once. His 2012 single "Passionflower" went viral with over 20 million views across platforms, and in 2020 he was voted Best Acoustic Guitarist in the World in MusicRadar's large-scale online poll.
