Jonah Blacksmith is a Danish folk-rock band from Thy, formed in 2011 by brothers Simon and Thomas Alstrup together with their cousin Lasse Alstrup and a handful of close friends. The band's name honours their grandfather Johannes Alstrup, who worked as a blacksmith in Koldby. They broke through with their self-titled 2017 album and followed up with "Brothers" (2020) and "Ages" (2025), alongside radio hits such as "House On Fire" and "Up", and are known for a big, dynamic live sound fronted by Simon Alstrup's distinctive vocals.
The band released its fourth studio album "Ages" - the first album in five years.
Jonah Blacksmith released the single "Saw You Dancing" with Mekdes.
The tour continues in 2026 including a concert in Thisted at Dyrskuepladsen.
The band plays at Tangkrogen in Aarhus in September 2026 under Cirkus Himmelblå.
