Kaizers Orchestra
Norwegian rock band Kaizers Orchestra performs at Musikhuset Esbjerg.
Kaizers Orchestra is a Norwegian alternative rock band formed on 1 January 2000, rooted in the Bryne/Stavanger area. They are known for theatrical live shows, Norwegian-language lyrics, and a sound that fuses rock with Balkan folk music and dark cabaret - oil barrels doubling as percussion being one of their most recognisable trademarks. Eight studio albums between 2001 and 2012, including the ambitious Violeta Violeta trilogy, established them as one of the first non-black-metal Norwegian acts singing in their native language to break beyond Scandinavia. After a hiatus from 2013 to 2022, they reunited and sold 82,000 tickets to their comeback tour in under fifteen minutes.
Kaizers Orchestra is on a major European tour in October 2026, celebrating the band's 25th anniversary with stops in Aarhus, Amsterdam, London and Berlin, among others.
The band released the single 'This Is The Kaizer Family' and completed its first American tour with five sold-out shows in Boston, New York, Washington D.C., Minneapolis and Los Angeles.
Kaizers Orchestra launched the game 'Kaizer's Orchestrated Chaos' on the Roblox platform, where fans can experience a concert in a digital universe.
The band is working on a musical based on the Violeta Violeta trilogy - their first project in English - and has re-released all albums in remastered vinyl versions.
Kaizers Orchestra announced its first American tour - only the second time ever that the band plays in the USA.
