Karmen Rõivassepp is an Estonian jazz vocalist, composer and arranger based in Aarhus, Denmark, where she has become a central figure on both the Danish and Estonian jazz scenes. She moves fluidly between mainstream, Latin and contemporary jazz, and also works as a big band conductor. Her 2023 album "Ambivalence" with the Aarhus Jazz Orchestra earned her the Jazz Composer of the Year award at the Danish Music Awards Jazz 2023 and Jazz Album of the Year at the Estonian Music Awards 2024.
Rõivassepp participated as a vocalist on Rahel Talts' album "New and Familiar", released on January 31, 2025.
Rõivassepp performed with guitarist Jacob Fischer at Bartof Cafe in Copenhagen on February 2, 2025.
The live album "Wonder Who" with the Danish ensemble Abekejser and three brass players from Aarhus Jazz Orchestra was released on April 19, 2024.
Rõivassepp received the award Album of the Year in Jazz at the Estonian Music Awards in 2024 for "Ambivalence" with Aarhus Jazz Orchestra.
Rõivassepp won Composer of the Year at Danish Music Awards Jazz 2023 for his work on "Ambivalence" with Aarhus Jazz Orchestra.
