Ensemble Hermes presents a concert of music by Arvo Pärt and songs by Karmen Rõivassepp in new arrangements. The programme repeats the ensemble's first joint concert project, which took place in autumn 2025 and sold out Musikhuset Aarhus two months in advance. Wanting to reach a wider audience, the group is now taking the project on tour in April 2026.

Arvo Pärt is one of the world's most performed composers, known for his silence, simplicity and sonic purity. Karmen Rõivassepp works at the intersection of modern jazz and Nordic sound aesthetics - and the two share not only Estonian origins. Her lyrical clarity and vocal purity make them kindred spirits, even when the music moves with rhythmic drive or improvisation. Composer and pianist Christian Balvig has arranged Rõivassepp's songs for the occasion.
