Kurt Ravn (born 29 December 1947 in Kolding) is a Danish actor and singer who trained at the National Theatre School from 1970 to 1973. He became a household name as the communist railway worker Lauritz "Røde" Jensen in the landmark DR drama series Matador (1978-82), and has since built a wide-ranging career spanning musical theatre - including Jean Valjean in Les Misérables and Che in Evita - opera, revue, and an annual Christmas concert tour of Danish churches.
