Lau Højen is the lead vocalist and guitarist of Carpark North, an electronic rock trio from Aarhus he co-founded with Søren Balsner and Morten Thorhauge in 1999. The band broke through with their 2003 debut, which went platinum in Denmark, and have since become one of the country's most enduring rock acts. Højen is the band's primary lyricist, most recently behind the double album 'AIR' (2024-2025), drawn from personal experiences across three years of writing.
Carpark North announced an exclusive club tour at 14 venues in Denmark in 2026 - the band's only Danish concerts that year and for the first time in 10 years without summer festivals.
Carpark North played a sold-out concert at K.B. Hallen in Copenhagen on May 16, 2025 - the band's first performance at the iconic venue in 14 years and a celebration of 25 years of music.
The complete double album 'AIR' was released on April 4, 2025 on Universal Music with 14 songs in total.
Carpark North released the single 'Easy Love' on September 27, 2024 as a precursor to 'AIR - Part II' and simultaneously announced the K.B. Hallen concert in 2025.
