M.C. Hansen, born Mads Christen Hansen in 1978 near Præstø in southern Zealand, is a Danish singer-songwriter and storyteller who works at the intersection of folk, country and Americana - a sound he calls 'Scandicana'. He has toured Europe and North America since the early 2000s, and his live shows are as much narrative performance as concert. He won Songwriter of the Year at the Danish Music Awards Folk in 2017 and was named Årets Visesanger (Danish Folk Singer of the Year) in 2024.
