M.C. Hansen's songs are populated with vivid characters: a day labourer, an ornithologist, a wandering jester, a peddler at Vildsund, and a man in Boesdal Limestone Quarry - people who move along country roads, beside fjords, and beneath the low-hanging sky.

On 15 November, M.C. Hansen releases his new album of songs and stories, and the same afternoon the release is marked with a concert at Bio Bernhard in Præstø. On stage he is joined by Jacob Chano on piano and harmonium, and Norwegian banjo and guitarist Hans Marius Graasvold.

The album moves through a Denmark where memory, present, and mythology live side by side - local history becomes fairy tale, natural history becomes mythology, and concrete places open onto larger narratives. At the concert, the songs and stories come alive: from the seven oaks at Nysø to a summer night on the way home from Bogø, and the stories that still cling to Stevns Klint.
