Mads Brauer is a Danish musician and one of the three permanent members of Copenhagen-based experimental band Efterklang, which he has been part of since its formation in 2000. Within the band he handles electronics and programming - his role, as bandmate Rasmus Stolberg has put it, is to explore what computers and electronic music can do inside a rock context. Efterklang have released seven studio albums and performed at venues including the Sydney Opera House and Hamburg's Elbphilharmonie. Brauer also takes part in cross-disciplinary collaborations outside the band.
Efterklang announced a new tour with Sønderjysk Pigekor, including concerts in Aabenraa and Sønderborg in September 2026.
Efterklang scored the music for the short film 'Releasing Hope', which premiered in April 2026.
Efterklang performed as special guest for Beirut in Berlin and Paris in March 2026.
Efterklang released their seventh studio album 'Things We Have In Common' on 27 September 2024, with seven songs co-written by Rune Mølgaard.
The documentary film 'Efterklang: The Makedonium Band' by director Andreas Johnsen had festival premieres worldwide during 2024.
