Efterklang and Sønderjysk Pigekor in Sct. Marie Kirke, Sønderborg - Part of the Organ Festival in Sønderborg and Surroundings

On Friday, 18 September 2026 at 19:30, Efterklang and Sønderjysk Pigekor perform in Sct. Marie Kirke in Sønderborg as part of the Organ Festival in Sønderborg and Surroundings. The choir is conducted by Mette Rasmussen, and the church's organist Ida Hymøller is the third performer of the evening.

The programme alternates between joint pieces where all three ensembles play together and works where the organ and band perform separately. Mads Brauer from Efterklang and Ida Hymøller both play the church's large organ and a newly acquired small organ - with their own interpretations of both newly composed works and selected pieces from the organ repertoire.

Efterklag and Sønderjysk Pigekor have collaborated for more than 15 years with numerous concerts and recordings behind them. In 2026 they meet only for three church concerts, and the concert in Sønderborg is one of them.
