
Conversations About Death
A five-week literature-based series exploring death through reading, writing, and conversation. Led by Mai Kordelin Paulsen at Randers Main Library, starting 23 September.
Mai Kordelin Paulsen is a literature communicator at Randers Bibliotek in Denmark, where she runs reading communities, poetry events and wellbeing projects. She led the research project 'Biblioteker fremmer trivsel' (Libraries Promote Wellbeing), a collaboration between Randers, Viborg and Holstebro libraries and Aarhus University, supported by the Danish Agency for Culture and Palaces. She also co-presents the outdoor poetry series Årstidernes poesi with colleague Pernille Thoustrup Jensen.
Randers Library launched the project 'Nature in New Ways', where Mai Kordelin Paulsen is involved in organizing literature walks and Seasons' Poetry from autumn 2026 to summer 2027.
The results of the research project 'Libraries Promote Well-being', which Mai Kordelin Paulsen led, were presented at the Main Library in Randers on 29 January 2026.
The report from 'Libraries Promote Well-being' was published in January 2026 and shows that libraries promote well-being in at least 38 different dimensions.
