Marie Carmen Koppel (born 1971 in Copenhagen) is a Danish soul and gospel singer who has built a devoted following over more than three decades through her powerful voice and commanding stage presence. The daughter of composer Anders Koppel and sister of saxophonist Benjamin Koppel, she has contributed backing vocals to over 100 recordings by some of Denmark's best-known artists. Her catalogue spans ten solo albums, most recently the critically praised 'Forgiveness' (2023), and she performs close to 80 concerts a year. In January 2024 she published the memoir 'Mit glitrende kludetæppe', writing candidly about bullying, type 1 diabetes and life behind the music.
