Marie Ledendal

About

Marie Ledendal is a Swedish textile designer and senior researcher, holding a position as senior lecturer in applied visual communication at the Department of Communication, Lund University. She earned a practice-based PhD in smart textiles and textile design from Heriot-Watt University (UK) and an MFA in textile design from the Swedish School of Textile in Borås. Her practice centres on colour-changing materials - thermochromic and photochromic textiles - alongside collective making processes, recycling and sustainability. She exhibits regularly in Malmö and presents at international research conferences.
