Mars Red Sky are a stoner and psychedelic rock trio from Bordeaux, France, formed in 2007 by Julien Pras (guitar, vocals), Jimmy Kinast (bass, vocals) and drummer Mathieu Gazeau. Since their self-titled debut in 2011 they have put out five studio albums and six EPs, playing major festivals including Hellfest, Roadburn and South by Southwest. Their signature blend of heavy riffs, cosmic atmospheres and Pras's airy vocals has made them a fixture of the European heavy psych circuit.
Mars Red Sky and the Swiss band Monkey3 released a joint EP under the project name Monkeys on Mars via Mrs Red Sound on October 17, 2025.
The Monkeys on Mars project launched a European tour in October 2025, with Mars Red Sky and Monkey3 performing both solo and as guests for each other.
Mars Red Sky is undertaking a major European tour in spring 2026 with stops in Montpellier, Toulouse, Bordeaux, Nantes, Lille, Paris, Berlin, Munich and Dresden, among others.
The band's latest studio album 'Dawn of the Dusk' was released on December 8, 2023 via Mrs Red Sound and Vicious Circle Records.
