Mathias Ranch Skov is a Danish singer-songwriter from Odense, who performs under the name Mathias Ranch. He first came to attention as the frontman of the electropop duo Statisk before launching a solo career in 2025 with a debut at Spot Festival and the EP "Barn af Venedig". His music draws on the Danish folk-song tradition and the melancholic palette of the 1970s, filtered through a contemporary electronic sound and unflinchingly personal lyrics.
"To lanterner" with Friða Saiya is rotating intensively on DR P3 and P4 and is currently one of Ranch's most played songs on the radio.
In November 2026, Ranch will embark on his first proper headliner tour as a solo artist - The Last Entertainer Tour - with stops in Copenhagen, Aalborg, Odense and Aarhus.
The single "En stor lykkelig familie", written in collaboration with Andreas Odbjerg for the DR program "Andreas Odbjergs popmanifest", was released on 27 February 2026 and received extensive radio play.
Ranch performed to a sold-out audience at Rosenborg Castle in the Knights' Hall, where he composed a new song inspired by the castle's historic hall.
Ranch made his solo debut at Spot Festival in May 2025 and received rave reviews - Gaffa described it as a convincing performance.
