Miamaja Vinther is a Danish saxophonist, singer, and songwriter rooted in Nordic folk music and jazz. She is the composer and driving force behind the ensemble Miabella, which moves freely between modern jazz, rock, and avant-garde, weaving together choir, brass, distortion, and Danish-language lyrics. She also forms the duo SVANGER with trumpeter Selma Lind Thormann, blending Nordic folk traditions with contemporary jazz through loops, effects, and voice. Vinther holds a degree in creativity theory.
