Michael Kolster is a Danish guitarist, singer and songwriter, born in 1956 in Brovst. He co-founded Nice Little Penguins and is the voice behind the 1994 hit "Flying". His musical career started in the early 1980s when he, his brother Carsten Kolster and Bo Feierskov formed a backing band for singer Ania Sandig - the three later began writing their own songs. Kolster has also released the solo project Lydbilleder/Sound Pictures and written songs for other Danish artists.
