About

Niklas Walentin (b. 1994) is a Danish-Swiss violinist who grew up on the island of Møn and trained at the Royal Danish Academy of Music and the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana in Lugano. He has performed as soloist with all the major Danish state orchestras and the Danish Radio Symphony Orchestra, and has appeared at venues including Carnegie Hall and the Mariinsky Theatre. Alongside his classical work - notably with the chamber trio Trio Vitruvi - he has in recent years expanded into jazz, accumulating more than 25 international music awards.
