Per Nielsen (born 1 June 1954 in Sønderborg) trained at the Royal Danish Academy of Music and has been principal trumpeter of the South Jutland Symphony Orchestra since 1986. With 16 albums selling close to 400,000 copies - nine certified gold and three platinum - he is Denmark's best-selling instrumentalist of all time. His annual church concert tours have drawn full houses across the country since 1978.
