The Last Waltz - 50 Years
Celebrating The Last Waltz reunites a 15-piece Danish orchestra to mark 50 years since The Band's legendary farewell concert, performing classics from the original show featuring Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell and other icons.
Peter Uhrbrand (born 1953 in Vejle) is a Danish folk fiddler who has lived in Sønderho on the island of Fanø since 1977. There he trained under the legendary Brinch brothers and became one of the key carriers of the local Fanø music tradition, unbroken for six generations. He holds the title of rigsspillemand, has played in groups such as ULC, Det Yderste Hav and Jæ' Sweevers, and received the Ken Gudman Prize in 2014 for his work preserving the Fanø tradition; in 2023 he was nominated for the Nordic Council Music Prize.

Peter Uhrbrand was among those who signed a petition to the Parliament's Cultural Committee to work for Fanø's cultural heritage to be included on UNESCO's list of intangible cultural heritage.
Peter Uhrbrand was nominated for the Nordic Council Music Prize for his work as one of the most important bearers and developers of tradition in the Nordic region.
