Stundom
Stundom, a highly nominated trio in new Nordic folk music, performs with violin, piano and cittern at this intimate concert.
Stundom are a Copenhagen-based folk trio - Emma Kragh-Elmøe (violin/viola), Villads Hoffmann (cittern/guitar) and Julian Svejgaard (piano/organ) - who grew out of the duo Elmøe & Hoffmann when Svejgaard joined in 2017. The name, an archaic Nordic word for "from time to time", was adopted in January 2020. Their music weaves traditional Scandinavian dance music together with chamber music and symphonic textures, and their 2024 album *Hvis ikke de er døde, lever de endnu* won Album of the Year at the Danish Music Awards Roots 2025. That same year the trio also received the Carl Prize for composition from the Danish Music Publishers' Association.
In 2026, Stundom received support from the Danish Arts Foundation under the scheme 'The Young Artistic Elite'.
In 2026, Stundom undertakes their first USA tour and performs, among other venues, at Wortham Center for the Performing Arts in Houston.
In 2026, Stundom were Artists in Residence at the folkBALTICA festival in Schleswig-Holstein - the first time the festival selected a band instead of a solo artist for the role.
In August 2025, Stundom joined the international booking agency Alliance Artist Management.
Stundom won Album of the Year at Danish Music Awards Roots 2025 for the album *If They Are Not Dead, They Are Still Living* and received the Carl Prize the same year for their compositions.
