Pink Turns Blue are a German post-punk and darkwave band founded in Cologne in 1985 by Mic Jogwer and Thomas Elbern, taking their name from a Hüsker Dü song. Their 1987 debut *If Two Worlds Kiss* helped define the first wave of gothic rock in Germany, and the band is widely regarded as one of the founding acts of European darkwave. After splitting in 1995 and reforming in 2003, the current trio - Jogwer (vocals, guitar), Luca Sammuri (bass) and Paul Richter (drums) - released their twelfth studio album *Black Swan* in 2025.
The band announced in June 2026 that after touring in America and the UK, they will play a couple of European shows and then go into the studio to record a new album, expected to be released in the second half of 2027.
Pink Turns Blue performs at the sold-out Amphi Festival in Köln on July 25-26, 2026.
The band thanked in December 2025 for 41 concerts during 2025 and announced the first dates for 2026.
Pink Turns Blue released their twelfth studio album *Black Swan* on February 28, 2025 on vinyl, CD and all streaming platforms via Orden Records.
*Black Swan* is the band's response to instability in the world - climate change, polarization and uncertainty - and adds an electronic element to their classic post-punk sound.
