Mother's Finest
The legendary American rock-funk band Mother's Finest brings their iconic sound to Den Grå Hal, celebrating 45 years since their historic 1978 Rockpalast performance.
Riesha Fayson is an American drummer from Washington, D.C., who started playing in her church at age ten and went on to blend gospel, pop, R&B and jazz in her style. In 2014 she won the international "Hit Like A Girl" contest for female drummers in the over-18 category, which led to appearances at the PASIC percussion convention and a tour of China. She is now the drummer for the veteran Atlanta funk-rock band Mother's Finest, performing alongside the group's original members.
Mother's Finest with Riesha Fayson on drums performs a concert in Den Grå Hal in Copenhagen.
The band continues to tour intensively around the world more than 50 years after its formation, with European concerts in autumn 2025.
After sold-out tours in both 2024 and 2025, Mother's Finest is back on the road with Riesha Fayson as the new drummer.
The band has released a new live album that retells some of their classic hits.
