About

Rita Payés (born 1999 in Vilassar de Mar) is a Catalan trombonist, singer and songwriter working across jazz, bossa nova and bolero. She grew up in a family of musicians - her mother is a classical guitarist, her father and brother trumpeters - and began her professional career as a teenager in Joan Chamorro's Sant Andreu Jazz Band. International recognition came through her duo albums with her mother Elisabeth Roma, and in 2024 she released 'De camino al camino' on Sony España, her first album of entirely original compositions.
