Klaphat & Snöleoparden | Open Listening #1
Klaphat and sitar player Jonas Stampe (Snöleoparden) improvise together in a free musical concert at Roskilde Library, where Danish dansktop meets experimental music.
Snöleoparden is the project name of Aarhus-based musician Jonas Stampe, who studied sitar under Ravi Shankar in India in 1998 and toured with Shankar in the UK the following year. Since adopting the alias in 2004, he has released experimental music that moves freely between world music, psych-folk, electronica and minimalist composition, with extensive touring and collaborations in Greenland, Indonesia and Pakistan.
Snöleoparden released the collaborative album 'Snöleoparden & Henning Frimann' via Leek Records on May 30, 2025 - his first release in many years.
Snöleoparden recorded the live album 'Mejlgade 53' together with Damo Suzuki and Badun at the legendary Aarhus venue, released December 4, 2020.
