Søndag Søndag is a Danish neo-classical duo formed by violinist Katrine Grarup Elbo and Grammy Award-winning film composer and pianist Jesper Mechlenburg. They debuted in 2020 and released a self-titled album on Sony Classical in 2021. Their 2025 follow-up, "Flux Nebula", was recorded at Nils Frahm's Saal 3 studio in Berlin's Funkhaus and draws on cosmic imagery - black holes, the James Webb Telescope, and distant nebulae.
On Sunday, May 2, 2025, Søndag released the album "Flux Nebula" via Mechlenburg Music Ltd. - ten compositions recorded in Nils Frahm's studio Saal 3 / Funkhaus in Berlin.
On May 4, 2025, the duo played a release concert at Hotel Cecil in Copenhagen to celebrate "Flux Nebula".
The single "Quasar" - featuring Gunnar Halle and Søren Elbo among others - was released in March 2025 as a preview of "Flux Nebula".
