A Portion of Your Land - Classical Choir Music and Community Singing at Sallerupgård
Classical choir Nordglød performs a cappella music and community songs on an organic farm by the fjord, with a landscape walk and the chance to meet the cattle.
Søren Madsen is a farmer and owner of Salsbjerggård near Lundby in southern Zealand - a large organic dairy farm with around 880 milking cows and 850 hectares of land by Avnø Fjord. He is the second generation on the farm, which he took over in 2004, and has shaped its operations around methods he learned during a study stay in New Zealand. Madsen reached a national audience when the DR1 series 'Gintberg på gården' was filmed at Salsbjerggård in early 2025, and he regularly opens the farm to schools, businesses and public events.
Søren Madsen is host for the event 'A Piece of Your Land' at Sallerupgård on September 27, 2026, where Kammerkoret Nordglød holds a choir concert in the machine house with community singing and stories about modern agriculture.
Salsbjerggård participated in Økodag 2026 on April 12, where Søren Madsen again opened the farm for visitors who could see the cows come out to pasture.
The DR1 series 'Gintberg on the Farm' with Salsbjerggård as the focal point was broadcast in January 2025 and gave the farm and Søren Madsen a significant boost in public awareness.
At Økodag 2024 at Sallerupgård, up to 6,500 spectators attended to see the cows come out to pasture - the event was sold out well in advance.
Sallerupgård was again listed as a participant in Økodag 2025 on April 13, and the farm's popularity was directly linked to the success of the DR1 series.
