Southland Jazzband

About

Southland Jazzband is a Danish jazz group based on the island of South Funen, playing traditional New Orleans jazz and swing rooted in the 1920s and 30s. Their repertoire draws on the music of Louis Armstrong, Sidney Bechet and Papa Bue, alongside original compositions in the same vein. The five-piece deliberately plays without drums to keep the sound acoustic and intimate.
