Steen Kyed Trio feat. Mads Mathias
Steen Kyed Trio welcomes Mads Mathias for a jazz evening at Bartof Café as part of the 'Six Sundays at Bartof' series - celebrating 100 years of Danish jazz.
Steen Kyed Trio is a Danish jazz ensemble with Steen Kyed on guitar, Jon Bruland on double bass and Anders Pedersen on cajon/drums. The trio plays soft, melodic 'melting-pot jazz' that blends jazz, folk, Nordic and South American currents around Kyed's guitar, and the members have individually backed artists such as Caroline Henderson, Anne Linnet, Palle Mikkelborg and Sergio Mendes. They have released the albums 'Udyr' (2022) and 'Kravl' (2025) on TAO REC.
On the occasion of the 100-year anniversary of Danish jazz, the trio plays six Sunday concerts at Bartof Café with changing guest musicians.
Trombonist Lis Wessberg is a guest at one of the concerts in the Sunday series.
The trio released its second album "Kravl" on the record label TAO REC with, among others, saxophonist Tomas Trulsson as a guest.
Before the release, the band shared the track "Wikis leeks" and held a release concert at Bartof Café.
The debut album "Udyr" was released and performed live for an audience for the first time.
