Final Descent: Les Nuits: Super Parquet + TRUCS
Two French musical projects converge: Super Parquet fuses Auvergne folk traditions with electronic production, while TRUCS explores percussion through amplified cattle bells and modified drums.
Super Parquet is a five-piece ensemble from Clermont-Ferrand, France, active since 2014, who fuse the traditional folk music of the Auvergne - bourrées, schottisches, cabrette bagpipes - with electronic drones and rave-culture machinery. Their live sets collide acoustic instruments with custom-built synthesizers and drone boxes, pulling audiences into a hypnotic, dance-floor trance rooted in the folk heritage of the Massif Central. The group has performed at major world-music showcases including WOMEX, Eurosonic, Roskilde Festival and Sziget.
Super Parquet released the EP 'Goshen' with three long tracks - 'Ubac', 'Norska' and 'Passe de Goshen' - on the French label Airfono.
The group performed at World Festival Ambert 2025, where according to the organizers they closed the festival with a 'magistral performance' of their 'musique de transe d'Auvergne'.
Super Parquet played at Printemps de Bourges 2025 as part of a spring tour that also brought them to Bordeaux, Rouen, La Rochelle and Paris.
The group performed at Fest Europavox in Clermont-Ferrand in June 2025.
