Viborg Musikforening celebrates 125 years with Trio con Brio Copenhagen in an expanded ensemble at Viborg Teater. Works by Mozart, Mendelssohn and Dvořák.
Trio con Brio Copenhagen is a piano trio founded in Vienna in 1999 by South Korean sisters Soo-Jin Hong (violin) and Soo-Kyung Hong (cello) together with Danish pianist Jens Elvekjaer, who is married to Soo-Kyung. Based in Copenhagen, the trio performs regularly at Carnegie Hall, Wigmore Hall, the Concertgebouw and Berlin's Pierre Boulez-Saal, among other leading venues. Their Orchid Classics recordings have received awards from Gramophone and BBC Music Magazine, and they hold Denmark's Carl Nielsen and Anne Marie Carl-Nielsen Award as well as the Wilhelm Hansen Foundation's honorary prize.
The album "Harmonie du soir" with piano trios by Ravel and Schubert (Orchid Classics) received six hearts in Politiken.
