Full-Day Voicingers Denmark
A full day of singing workshops, vocal improvisation, and rhythm work at Metronomen, culminating in performances by participants, the jazz band Almadera, and an open jam session for singers of all abilities.
Voicingers is a travelling vocal jazz festival and workshop concept founded in 2008 by Polish singer and linguist Grzegorz Karnas in Żory, Poland. It brings together singers and musicians from around the world for intensive sessions in improvisation, circle singing and vocal technique, culminating in a participant concert and open jam session. Since expanding internationally in 2015, it has run annual editions across roughly fifteen countries in Europe and Asia. The Danish chapter pairs international tutors with local musicians and is open to all levels.
Voicingers On Tour held its second edition in Dhaka, Bangladesh, from April 29 to May 3, 2025, with workshops and concerts on International Jazz Day.
The fifth French edition of Voicingers took place in Paris from October 21 to 26, 2024 at the Czech cultural center.
Voicingers On Tour 2024 included editions in Vietnam, China, Estonia and the United Kingdom.
Voicingers transformed its former international singing competition into a new format called International Jazz Challenges for Singing Musicians with a focus on shared musical joy rather than competition.
